THE DOCTRINE OF CREATION AND ECOLOGY

·        Exploring the Christian doctrine of creation and its significance for ecological concerns.  Often the doctrine is seen as part of the problem by those in the ecological movement because it appears to teach an instrumental callousness for the environment … fill the earth and subdue it  (Genesis 1:28)

·        On the other hand, the doctrine of creation can easily slip into a view of nature which owes more to romanticism than theology

·        What are the perspectives that the doctrine of creation brings to this urgent contemporary issue?
