• There is a growing awareness of the spiritual needs of people with dementia – and their families – and the importance of welcoming them and including them in parish life. It is a significant pastoral challenge.
• The study day will explore the onset and the course of dementia, and the importance of focus on the person over and above the condition.
• How well do our parishes provide spiritual and other support for those with dementia, their families, friends and carers? What lessons can be learnt from the good practice of some parishes ….. and the lack of it in others?
