  • Kairos Centre Mount Angelus Road SW15 4JA (map)

This year’s Southwark Diocesan Clergy Retreat will be led by Canon John Udris, a priest of the Northampton Diocese and currently Spiritual Director and lecturer in Homiletics at St Mary’s College, Oscott. An author of various books on St Thérèse of Lisieux. He was appointed, in 2013, to investigate the Cause of GK Chesterton.

The theme of this year’s retreat will be:
THE THIRD DAY: WHERE TRUST & MERCY MEET
Exploring this Scriptural motif through the lens of the life and spirituality of St Thérèse of Lisieux

Following the successful 2018 retreat at the Kairos Centre, Roehampton, the venue has been booked for both 2019 and 2020. A map and details of how to get to the retreat centre by car or public transport can be sent to you on request.  If you are able to join us, please complete the form below.

Members of the team will be at the Reception to look after bags and help with room registration, but to ensure you can be greeted upon arrival, please come to the Reception on Monday 16 September between the hours of 3pm to 5pm.  Upon registration you will be directed or taken to your room as required.  Please note the key will be in the door and towels will be provided in your room with soap in the corridor.

We begin the Retreat with Supper in the Dining Room on the Monday evening at 6pm.  There will be an Introductory Talk at 7pm, ending with Exposition and Night Prayer on the first evening from 7.45-8.45pm, after which you are most welcome in the Lounge for a nightcap. We will be concelebrating Mass during the Retreat, so please make sure that you bring an alb and appropriate stole.  Also, don’t forget your Breviary for the celebration of the Divine Office. Leaders for the Offices and readers or chief concelebrants will be chosen from the retreat members for Mass. A list of all the helpers will be available in the Conference Room. The Retreat will conclude with Lunch on Friday 20 September.
